The great Indian come International designer JJ Valaya was born in the great city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. His actual name was Jagsharan Jeet Singh and the Ahuwalia, and out of this the label JJ Valaya was born. His mother was a great designer of kids’ clothings, his brother was a fantastic cartoonist and his aunt a very creative interior designer, so it was nothing rare for him to join the creativity and the best among them as a fashion designer. India’s premier fashion designer, as he has earned a name that fascinates the world, all over. And that is what has made him world’s one amongst the most inspiring and successful designers. Although the Valaya group encompasses wide areas like apparels, home furnishings, accessories etc. yet his most unique and wonderful collections are those of royal masterpiece apparels under the mantra of ‘the future the past’. Education:
In 1989 he joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology situated in New Delhi. And then he became the first Indian student to win the Prix Incintation at the Young Designer International competition held in Paris.
Awards:
* In 1991 he won the Elyxa Award at the NIFT graduation show, New Delhi
Won the Thapar Dupant medal at the NIFT Graduation show, New Delhi for using the fabric in the most innovative way.
*In 1992 Won the prize for Alumni Competition at NIFT held in Bombay.
Achievements:
* In the year 1990 he became the first Indian student to win the Prix Incintation at the Young Designer competition held in Paris.
* He has made a record to be the first designer to hold a solo show in India.
* In ‘96 he held a show in Hong Kong, and Manchester.
* In ‘97CII takes the label to the Manchester.
* In ‘98 he held shows along with American designer Todd Oldham.
* In the year 1999 the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) created.
* In the year 200 the show held by him records to be the first show ever to feature with French Models. *The fall winter show 2000 was a special show at JJ Valaya, celebrating a new century, blessed with a new collection and a newly renovated store- JJ Valaya Life.
* In the year 2001 he shows the spring/summer collection during the Haute Couture week in Paris.
* he was announced as the first brand ambassador of Swaroski crystal components, India in 2001.
* In 2005 he introduces new footwear label, Valaya.
* Launched Valaya Quantum the new diffusion labels in the year 2006.
Admiration:
He is most admirable towards Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren and Valentino. But still he feels that he can not choose rather it’s difficult fr hi to choose in so creative crowd.
Discovery:
Yes, we are talking about the disvovery of hidden desires of Mr.JJ, yes he has a strong passion towards fashion cars and bikes.
Royalty is the key metaphor of this great n great designer, he loves to paint but doesn’t have a restricted and confined definition of areas of paintings.
He says that “my job is all about imagination”, and he loves to dream as he believes that the reality has a beginning from dreams’ pathways. So his philosophy is dream imagine work create. Dream… Dream…. Dream…!

*In 1992 he introduced costume label – JJ Valaya along with brother come partner T.J.Singh
*In 1995 he introduced the label in various up-market stores in India and overseas.
*In 1996 he launched the India’s largest single designer store JJ Valaya-Life in New Delhi
* In 1999 he launched the Valaya pr̻t label Рstudio through exclusive stores in Delhi and Mumbai.
*Launches Studio Valaya in Banglore in the year 2000.
*In the year this great fashion designer opened up three new stores – Two in Delhi and one in Mumbai.
*In the year 2004 JJ Valaya ‘Life’ first International flagship opens in Dubai.
* Studio Valaya launches new stores at Gurgaon.in 2005.
*Valayas India’s first luxury flower boutique in New Delhi in the year 2005.

I agree with the previous comment from Monica. JJ Valaya PLEASE REPLY. I have written 4 emails about the same subject (dissatisfied) and have not had the courtesy of a reply. This has been going on since August and involves a wedding dress. Not happy. What is the point in having a contact email if no one looks at it.

Unfortunately it appears that the only way to get a reply from JJ Valaya is to post a comment on this website. I got a standard reply after my last comment from someone who has now left the company – an auto response asks me to contact JJ Valaya on the same email address that I have been trying to get a response from for 5 months – again I cannot get a response – please help I am now getting desperate!

The rectangular unstitched format of the sari allows for
individual creativity.There are many different styles for wearing a
saree.
A woman experiences sense of luxury when she wears a saree.
A saree when draped properly makes a woman look more
stylish, elegant, graceful and sensuous.
A saree is the only outfit which reveals as much as it hides.
Draping sarees in perfect style requires a lot of
practice. A perfectly draped saree makes personality but clumsily
draped saree can equally bring down the look of the saree and spoil
the whole appearance of a woman.
The beauty of the saree is enhanced by the way it is
draped.I am a professional saree draper who can drape a saree in 125
