INTRODUCTION:
Rohit Bal is not bound to be mentioned what he actually is. He has reached heights in the fashion world and has entered the hearts of lakhs of the people seeing his work. He has drawn upon history, fantasy, folklore to create his masterpieces. He created his first line of as traditional wears for men in 1990. This 34 years old man is simply fabulous to make a perfect match and set the trend for every season.
EDUCATION:
He has graduated from the St. Stephen’s College of Delhi. He was with a first class (Hons.) degree in History.
CARRIER:
He chose fashion designing as a carrier, in 1990 he started it for the first time by creating a line of traditional wears for men. Before this he worked with his brother’s export company.
AWARDS:
*He was warded as the designer of the year in the year 2005 in I.F.A. fashion awards.
*He was also awarded the best designer of the year at the Kingfisher Fashion achievement awards 2001.
ACHIEVEMENT:
* He was titled as the “India’s Master of fabric and fantasy” in March25, 1996 ‘by the Time magazine in it’s recent special report.
* He has designed clothes for the very well known personalities in India as well as abroad. Like Uma Thurman, Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell, and he even walked down the ramp on one of his shows.
* To mention just a few he has created a history by being successful on his own fashion shows in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, New Delhi etc.
*He got an offer in Paris during his fashion show to become the ambassador of Omega, which he accepted. And since then all of his shows in India as well as Paris are being sponsored by the Omega.
*He was also chosen by the Khadi Gram Udyog to collaborate with Khadi and design collections for them to sell in all their outlets. K. G. U. is the largest handloom textile operation in India and Rohit Bal’s association with the same is a matter of great pride for him.

FASHION SHOWS:
*He had his show in Paris during the Paris fashion week Pre^t-e-porter fall winter 2001-2002. And to his surprise this was the second successful show in Paris.
*In 2004 his collection titled ‘Bird of Paradise’, that reflected the beauty and vanity of the male form in all it’s glorious splendor.
He wants the Indian fashion to reach global heights. But even after so much of victorious life Rohit wants his designs to be made affordable not because it would sell at an even higher speed but just because it’s then that most of the people will be able to afford it and this would make him happier. And his this attitude, hard work, devotion has made him reach this height and he will continue to rise along with the sun.
