Tricky Spammers Cheating Yahoo

Today, when I opened the bulk mail folder of my Yahoo mail account I was surprised to see a lot of spam messages which have the bogus dates like (Jan1-2038, Dec28-2037). How is it possible? How can spammers manipulate the dates like this.
