Nails suffer from many problems such as discoloration, splitting, cracking, thickening, ridges etc. Some of the problems are the effect on nails because of some diseases in the body.
Nail problems also arises due to lack of protein and vitamins as if you lack Vitamin A and calcium it will cause your nails to become dry and brittle. If you lack protein, Vitamin C and folic acid these deficiencies will cause hang nails. White line across the nail means protein deficiency, cracked nails shows you have a deficiency of water. Lack of zinc causes white spotted nails.
For better and healthy nails a person have to include many things in the diet like 50% of the raw fruits and vegetables. Fish, broccoli, onions and whole grains. Liquid diet like juices and drinking lot of water should be added to the routine.
