1. Blue makes you feel cool
* Blue color is known to make you feel cool, but it is not so. But it is true that the right use of it helps you live peacefully and relieves from tension. So, choose the right shade of this color and then match it with other colors as well.
* Use warm toned blue colors like aqua, turquoise, in both of these colors green color parts are majority. The rooms situated in north direction where the light is less need not have blue color like the small and dark bathrooms.
* Pink and green shades are well suited with blue color, and for more of liveliness you can choose blue with yellow.
* The combination of blue and white is supposed to be the best and ideal combination. It indicates welcome and freshness.
* Pale blue is the ideal color for simple living people be it living room or bedroom. With this color dark colored furniture are ideal.
2. Dark colors are not good:
Many of us believe in the above statement, but I declare it a myth. Instead dark colors indicate soul ness, liveliness, energy. That is why in many of the modern houses this color is being given special importance. But be careful while choosing the dark colors that the panels, window frames etc should be of light color. With dark colors the furniture of light color like white and off white will look good. Dark chocolaty, burgundy, and olive colors will do good with natural or stand wood work or leather furniture appear classy. Decorate these with contrast colored glittered mirrors. If your room is small and you fear that the use of dark colors will make it look even smaller then better use different colors on each wall. Like one wall with light color and the other one with dark color. By this the problem of space will also be solved and besides will be grateful to eyes.
3. White makes one feel empty:

* If you have decided for the white color for your room, then make a note of it that the curtains should be of such colors so that the light is not able to pass otherwise the light on mixing with white color will get you irritating.

(4) The varieties in furniture are not advisable:
* In living room mainly people keep one kind of furniture. But some people do decorate different kinds of furniture as it provides an antique look to the room.
* Remember that every piece has got something special about it so it is not important to have large quantities of such pieces, instead choose the correct furniture, and keep it differently.
* Dark colored furnitures lighten the effect of lights, that is why do not keep them altogether and make a proper placement of these.
(5) Designer carpets are not good:
* Now-a-days designers are keen on making the carpets attractive by bringing a combination of ancient traditional and modern looks. But still many people prefer the old simple carpets instead of these designer and outstanding carpets.

* Start this from your room. If your room is in light color then get colored accessories and carpets.
(6) Buy only 3 piece sofa set:
* While buying sofa generally every person talks of three piece sofa set. But you can think different from what is common.
* Choose different types of furnitures in which some can be long, small comfortable etc. Like keep some comfort chairs and one sofa cum bed.
* Still if you insist on three piece sofa set then you should keep various types of cushion this will help make them look attractive.
(7) Bed is to the wall side:
* In metropolitan cities due to lack of space there is no other option to place the bed apart from the wall side. But the thinking that it is to be kept in only that way is wrong. If you have space then it can be placed in many ways. It is possible that it may look even better.
* Try to keep a matching side table on which you can keep your required things.
* If your bedroom is big then you can make a partition by plywood etc. for your room so that it looks neat and clean.
(8) Every room must have an AC or cooler:
In India keeping in view the climate it is very important that the rooms are such which make you feel cool. People believe that in order to have so ACs and coolers are a must in every room. But it is not that important. Because in market many such solutions are available that will relive you of coolers etc. Good interior designers can give you better suggestions in this regard.
(9) Waterproof wood is essential:
* Waterproof wood is now no more essential for bathrooms and kitchens as tiles are a better solution to it that will not let water stay.
* Many renowned companies are now making wipe clean tiles, waterproof paint, sun mica and fiber materials for bathrooms and kitchens.

(10) It is not good to mix floral and stripes:
