Umaid Bhavan Palace, Rajasthan

Speciaity-The Umaid Bhavan Palace of Rajasthan also houses a museum. On display, in the museum, are an array of weapons.The Palace was constructed in -1943 and has served as the principal residence of Jodhpur’s Royal Family since.
Red Fort, Delhi
Constructed by- Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 A.D
The construction of the Red Fort began in 1638 and was completed by 1648.
Speciality-The art work in the Fort is a synthesis of Persian, European and Indian art which resulted in the development of unique Shahjahani style which is very rich in form, expression and colour.
Lake Palace, Udaipur
Built in- 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, 62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar – believed to be descendants of the Sun God.
Speciaity-The Taj Lake Palace, located in the middle of Lake Pichola is a dream of white marble and mosaic glistening in the moonlight, very reminiscent of the most beautiful tourist cliché in the world.
Golconda Fort, Hydrabad
Constructed by-It was earlier established by the Kakatiya’s in the 13th century and the existing structure was constructed by the Qutub Shahi kings. It was renovated by the first three Qutub Shahi kings, over a span of 62 years.

Mysore Palace, Karnataka
Speciaity-The Mysore Palace followed the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture.
Built in-The Mysore palace was first built in the 14th century. After being ravaged by fire and lightning twice, the present structure came up in 1912 courtesy the design of British architect Henry Irwin.
Wendell Roderick is a name in the fashion industry that does not need any introducti
on. Roderick’s work reflects the true Indian spirit, Indian culture and everything that could represent that ancient India. He is seriously obsessed with the Indian fashion.
One thing you must know here is that, Roderick’s attires never have the stiff fabrics and no heavy embroideries as well. So that means he likes to keep it as simple as it can be. His designed apparels are just so easy to carry, comfortable of course and yet they have the power to give you that perfect desired look along with elegance and grace. His clothes are wearable anywhere any-where, any-time.
Goa today has place on the world map of fashion also because of Roderick. And it was not easy to make it possible so, it required a great deal of eager-beaverness and dedication, but then Wendell had it all. He made it possible through his wonderful creativity and extremely successful fashion shows.
Some pages from his life
Before entering the world of fashion Wendell completed his hotel management course. And then he completed his training in Los Angeles and Paris and then was back to India in 1988.
Then he spent his next two years by designing for the very well recognized companies such as Garden Vareli, Lakme and the a big name in the world of diamonds – DeBeers. Then in 1990 he launched his own label “Wendell Roderick”.
Career
Around 1993, which means three years later, after launching his own label, Roderick shifted his base back to Goa. He created splendid collections every time. The Tibetan Monasteries used to be the inspiration, which was very well reflected in his work. Like it used to be the tattoos of the Lambadi tribes, symbols of Shiva and Vishnu etc.
Well, he is also honored to be the first Indian to have displayed his collection at the world’s largest garment fair at IGEDO, Dusseldorf. He is also the chairman of the courses committee at the Board of Technical education, appointed by the Government of Goa., and he is the member of the advisory board of the fashion institutes and Lakme fashion Week. He is also a Patron of the Kasturba Gandhi Memorial Trust, Goa that promotes handspun Khadi.
The Brand
Wendell has designed the uniforms for the Goa state Traffic Police, the Goa Marriott Resort, the staff of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation and yet much more.
He was in the beginning involved in designing ad-films for the Raymond Weil, SWATCH Bijoux, Breguet etc. Achla Sachdev, Nina Manuel who keep wondering at his designs.

He has plans to launch a book on the clothing tradition of Goa.
