Manish malhotra is a kind of designer, his creations are never out of fashion, they are always fresh and beautiful. With the start of 2011 Manish malhotra started creating master pieces and till March he has participated in various shows and events. This year Manish has used lots of traditional embroideries and works with the modern contemporary touch. One thing I like most about his creation is the use of fabric done beautifully, love the way he indulge flares and cuts in his apparels.

There are number of shows that like Manish Malhotra Summer/Resort 2011 Collection, Manish Malhotra Spring – Summer 2011 Collection in Dubai Fashion week, Manish Malhotra’s Collection at The Chivas Studio 2011, Bridal collection 2011 etc. All his shows were a big hit with awesome outfits. Every show has its own theme and beauty but the delicate styling and look was inspired by traditional cuts and works like gotapatti, kashmiri embroideries, chikankari, kalidar kurtas, lehnga with flare. For men there were apparels like sherwanis, kurtas paired with slim pants, Jodhpuri trousers, churidars, Pathani etc. We know Manish use India in his clothes a lot and hence, popular enough by people either national or international.

Type Of Fabric Used
There were mostly summer inspired fabrics like raw cotton, Gorgettes, Pure cotton, silk and lots of net.

Kind Of Garments Presented During The Show
The collection can be called a dreamy one as with lots of flares and volume. The traditional touch given to the garments reminds me of kings and queens. There were around 40 gorgeous evening wear creations including kalidar kurtas, voluminous lehengas and beautiful teaming up of long kurta and Lehengas for the ladies. Bundgalajackets, sherwanis, pathani, kurta with pants, jodhpuri trousers or cowled salwars for men.

Colours Chosen By The Designer
Colours play an important part while designing and Manish has taken all care to choose colours wearable in summers. There were different shades chosen for male and female like Aqua green, powder blue and ivory for the ladies and beige, grey and navy for gents.

Work And Embellishments
Work and the embellishments done to enhance the beauty of the garment was also inspired by the traditional embroideries of India like Kashmiri kadhai, Chikankari, Net with silver zari work. Lots of intricate motifs also used to decorate the garment. Printed and embroidered fabrics were used to craft male garments.

Spring/summer collection 2011 In Dubai Fashion Week

Another show of Manish in Dubai fashion week name as spring/summer collection 2011 was totally different from the show in Lakme fashion week. Here more darker shades and heavier fabrics were used. The total collection was looking like a wedding collection.

Zardosi is always done in a best way by Manish Malhotra and fashion freaks love his style. Resham work, embroidery on net, brocade patti all these were the kind of work done on the garments which were being design for the show in Dubai.

Now, if we come to kind of garment or cuts of garment showcased were flared lenhgas, long kurti with salwar or churidar, evening gowns, short kurti with salwar for ladies and sherwanis with churidar, pathani, sherwanis teamed up with cowled salwars for gents.
